The West Hollywood History Center welcomes the newest member to its Advisory Board, artist and designer Katie Brightside. She will advise the board on visual communication and design that supports the Center’s mission of educating residents and visitors about West Hollywood’s rich and unique history.
With 20 years of experience as an artist and designer, Katie Brightside has received international press and is highly regarded within the creative field. She works with a melting pot of creatives in all spectrums of the arts to deliver unique projects, wallpaper, murals, books, menus, and installations. The imagination and production show no limits.
A resident of the West Hollywood since 2015, she is the artist in resident at the award-winning La Peer Hotel, a recommended artist on the West Hollywood mural roster, and a sought after artist for high profiled clients.
Katie Brightside graduated from Kingston University, UK, in 2001 with a BA in fashion. She moved to Treviso, Italy, where she worked as a designer at United Colours of Benetton. In 2002 she relocated to Sydney, Australia, where she worked as freelance designer for Akira Isogawa and others. A highlight of her time there was a solo gallery exhibit at renowned aMBUSH Gallery in Sydney. She later returned to London, where she pursued an MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martin (CSM), London, graduating June 2014.
